What Does the following Endoscopy And Biopsy Test Result Mean?
My mother is 53yrs old and had EGD report today with result: ESOPHAGUS: normal Z-LINE: 38 cm to dental arcade CORPUS: Mild erythematous gastritis FUNDUS: Moderate erythematous gastritis ANTRUM: Moderate erythematous antrum gastritis BIOPSY FOR CLO-TEST: DUODENAL BULB PART: normal SECOND PORTION: normal ENDOSCOPY DIAGNOSIS: MODERATE ERYTHEMATOUS GASTRITIS I do not really clear about Z-line here, is it serious? And should my Mother do H. pylori check now? Thanks

Hi,
Endoscopy report of your mother suggests gastritis because of high acid level mostly. Constant high level of acid leads to irritation and inflammation of gastric mucosa. Erythematous means some sort of blood spot also found because of irritation of gastric wall.
